📣 Miners in the Middle Update 📣
Normally this is where our weekly middle school newsletter would appear, but this week is anything but normal across Miner Nation!
Hartshorne students will be representing our school and community across the state this week, and we couldn’t be more proud of the hard work and dedication that brought them here.
We have powerlifters competing at the State Meet, students exhibiting at the Oklahoma Youth Expo, and both our high school Miners and Lady Miners competing in the State Basketball Tournament. These opportunities come from countless hours of practice, preparation, and commitment from our students, coaches, sponsors, and families.
We are also excited to share that our Middle School Baseball team opens their season tomorrow at Atoka at 4:30 PM. Good luck to our young Miners as they begin their season!
Because of all the exciting activities happening this week, we will also be adjusting our Middle School Midterm Exam schedule. Updated information about exams, along with details about a possible Miner Nation Sendoff, will be shared tomorrow once final plans are confirmed.
This is one of those weeks that reminds us what makes Hartshorne special. We are proud of every student representing our school and community.

State Basketball Update
Both the boys and girls teams have qualified for the state tournament for the 2nd straight year!! Our girls play at 10:30am on Thursday and the boys play at 9:00pm in the OG&E Coliseum. More information will be provided.

WEATHER UPDATE
The warning has been lifted, so the Event Center will close at 11pm . We will continue to monitor the weather in the area. Follow us on Facebook and download our school app for the most up to date information.

AREA BASKETBALL
We have been in contact with Henryetta and they are expecting weather from 5-6pm. In the event they're needed, storm shelters are located at the HS STEM and
Kindergarten Buildings. Both are within walking distance of the gym. Games will tipoff at normal times.

Our Hartshorne High School students had a lot of success at today's Curriculum Contest at Eastern Oklahoma State College! Each of these students now qualify for the Tournament of Champions at Rose State College in May.

BASKETBALL DISTRICTS
The gates will open at 5pm tonight for the District Tournament vs Haskell. We are unable to provide Season Ticket seating during the OSSAA Playoffs. No seats will be marked as RESERVED.

Senior panel pictures will be tomorrow, Feb. 19th, beginning at 7:50am in the high school auditorium . Morning Vo-Tech students will take pictures at 12:15pm.
Boys need to wear a white collared shirt and a dark color tie ( gray, black or blue). *No bright colors*

The Miners and Lady Miners will be delayed at Vanoss due to traffic issues near Ada. We expect the first game to begin between 6:45 and 7:00. Broadcast will be available on Hudl Fan.
