
As graduation day approaches, we’re once again proud to recognize our 2025 Senior Class Co-Valedictorians and Salutatorian! Friday Schedule
HPS will be releasing early on Friday, April 25th to allow students and staff to attend the services for Mr Tony Skinner. Elementary will release at 1:00 and HS/MS will release at 1:05.

We would like to congratulate Cicilia Wilson, Nolan Tucker, and Gaven Wilson for receiving Superior ratings at the State Solo and Ensemble Contest at OSU! Go Miners! 💙🏆🎼


Due to some unusual activity close to the elementary school, the After School Program has gone on a soft lockdown until HPD has resolved the issue. Students are safe inside the building, but if you would like to pick up your child you may do so at this time.

Today's Miner Softball game at Stigler canceled.

We regret to inform everyone that we lost former HS Choir Director Tony Skinner this week. His family has requested that any former students who would like to join in singing at his funeral services contact Krista Patterson at 918-421-9422. Services will be Friday at 3pm at the Shady Grove Baptist Church. Please keep his family in your prayers at this difficult time.

The HEC will open at 11:45 as a storm shelter. The Hartshorne area has been under a Tornado Watch this evening and we are now under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning.

🏃♂️🏅 Congratulations again to our Middle School Track Teams on their performance yesterday at the Checotah Track Meet!
Our 7th grade boys finished 6th out of 17 teams, and our 8th grade girls took home an impressive 3rd place out of 20 teams!

We want to congratulate our students in Choctaw 1 and Choctaw 2! They recently participated in the Oklahoma Native American Youth Language Fair at the University of Oklahoma. Both classes made submissions in the Film/Video Category. Choctaw 1 received Honorable Mention and Choctaw 2 received 1st place:

🎉 We have more exciting news to share! 🎉
Mr. Justin James has been selected as a finalist for the 2025 Eastern Oklahoma Teacher of the Year, presented by the AEROS Awards!
The AEROS team surprised him yesterday at school with his official “Golden Ticket”, and we couldn’t be prouder! Mr. James is an incredible teacher, coach, and leader who makes a difference every day in the lives of our students and staff.
He will be recognized at the annual AEROS Awards Banquet on May 2 in Tulsa, where the Teacher of the Year will be announced and awarded $1,000 for their classroom.
