Hartshorne Middle School
Jason Lindley - MS Principal / Athletic Director
Sheryl Baker - Director of Special Programs / JH Counselor
I would like to welcome you to the Hartshorne Middle School website. The tradition and history of Hartshorne Schools is one of pride and commitment. We will take pride in our school, community, and families while being committed to excellence in all that we do. Our former students have accomplished great things in everything from academic achievements such as Truman Scholarships to excellence in athletics resulting in National Championships. Some students have gone on to pursue careers in the arts and Hartshorne continues to add to a rich history of agricultural success. The bar has been set high and now the spotlight shines on the Miners of today. Our focus is for those who came before us to be proud of our accomplishments and for those who follow us to continue to have lofty examples to drive them, as well.
This is our time in the Miner Nation and we look forward to the opportunities!
The expectations for today's students are becoming increasingly more challenging. The methods and techniques of even a decade ago are becoming archaic as the mission of the school continues to evolve. Teachers at Hartshorne Public Schools have proven that they are highly capable, intelligent, and possess the resourcefulness to adapt to those changes. Our teachers take pride in the accomplishments of their students academically as well as in extra-curricular activities. Test scores are very important to everyone in education and the same is true here. Our academic expectations of students are high to insure that Hartshorne students are prepared for taking the next step in their educational process whether that is moving from middle school to high school or high school to college or career. We want to give our students the best chance at success when they leave the halls of Hartshorne Schools.
While test scores may be used to measure us, they certainly do not define us! Our work ethic and ability to achieve make us who we are. As challenges are presented, our staff and students will find a way to exceed expectations. The Miner Spirit is alive and well at Hartshorne Middle School and we are looking forward to another great year.
Thanks for visiting our website and we encourage you to follow us throughout the year. Go Big Blue!
